Yoga has meant different things to me at different times during my life. When my mother died when I was 23yrs, it was a way of connecting with her, as she practiced yoga. Later it was a way ofde-stressing amid the chaos of London life. When I was pregnant, yoga gave me a feeling of nurturing not only my own body but also nurturing my baby. Later still, it became an oasis, a place to escape when life got hard.
At my yoga classes, we practise breathing and relaxation techniques combined with the gentle movement of yoga postures. The classes are designed for relaxation, de-stressing and gentle stretching. Itis not a strong physical workout and is equally suitable for beginners or for those who do not want an energetic class. My classes are also suitable for postnatal mothers.
The gift of yoga is that it allows you to practice techniques that can help you in your EVERYday life. Throughout the class Soraya offers insights, readings and humour to help you explore not onlyyour external body but also your inner landscape. We are a team of qualified, knowledgeable and enthusiastic teachers and therapists who are passionate about what we do. We would like to share our expertise and help you, to keep active and pain free.We have a dedicated yoga studio, pilates equipment studio and 2 therapy rooms and have created a well-being centre with a vibrant, yet peaceful atmosphere, in which to enjoy a variety of classes and therapies.
