Inspired Yoga has moved to Gothenburg, Sweden and so has ceased all yoga classes and courses in North London. My heart felt gratitude to all of you that have contributed to the classes and retreatsover the past couple of years! It was both the culmination, realisation and the beginning of, the principal founder, Jonathan Sattin's vision - to create the highest quality centre for true well-being, combining three key elementsof yoga, Pilates + treatments. On that day, free classes were offered to everyone; we were worried that no one would come but when we opened our doors there was a queue from our mews into the street (the next day was a little different!).
Teen Yoga Tribe is run by a team of teens (The Teen Team) who attend Shahn's yoga classes. Their goal is to grow awareness of the benefits of yoga for teens. Who best to do this, than teensthemselves! The Teen Team is gaining invaluable work experience learning how to grow a brand whilst being a part of something that transforms the lives of teens. Shahn's passion is to help children and teens connect with their true spirit, be authentic and live a fulfilled life.
Islington Yoga was founded in 2000. The school focuses on the teaching of Shadow Yoga, a dynamic form of Hatha Yoga developed by Zhander Remete. The school offers Introductory Courses for Beginners,General Level classes for experienced students, short courses and workshops, and retreats in the UK and Europe. Pregnancy yoga courses are also offered. All teachers at Islington Yoga are approved Shadow Yoga teachers.

The Notting Hill Yoga studio is a beautiful and spacious place to learn yoga; cool, light and airy in the summer; and cosy and warm with a fire and blankets in the winter. We have all the equipmentyou need - mats, blocks, bolsters, blankets, and yoga chairs. With an upper limit of ten students, the teacher can remain attentive to everyone throughout the class. Regulars (that's almost everybody) enjoy the benefit of having their progress carefully monitored and crafted over time.

I began practicing yoga in earnest whilst completing my Masters in Education and Social Research. After a rewarding financial career I began a new career as a yoga teacher, whilst continuing to workas a freelance consultant in the corporate and third sector. Finding a balance between the two presents many challenges, however both serve to complement one another in many ways.

Are the classes suitable for beginners? Yes: You will be encouraged to practise at the optimum level for your experience and ability. Benefits to general health and fitness are experienced in 3 weeks to 3 months depending on how much you practise at home.
I trained with the Amrita School of Yoga Teacher Training, qualifying as a traditional Hatha Yoga teacher in 2008 and registered with the Independent Yoga Network. Since then I have been developing agentle and restorative approach to yoga, studying with with Susie Hately and Judith Lasater and assisting Judith in training other yoga teachers in restorative yoga. I am a registered Relax and Renew restorative teacher and a British Wheel of Yoga qualified teacher of yoga in prisons.
I teach classical hatha yoga asanas (postures) to help tone, strengthen and increase flexibility. Incorporating a flowing movement of forward bends, back bends, inversions and twists to help stretchthe body, thereby massaging the internal organs, improving the immune system and balancing the central nervous system. We complete the class with a deep relaxation, essential to store and ground the energy created during the class leaving you feeling rejuvenated and revitalized!
Mikey is one of the most experienced certified yoga teachers in the UK. He was even chosen to demonstate the poses in BKS Iyengar's latest book, where all of the images were approved by Iyengarhimself. In the past he has spent time living in India and has practiced Iyengar yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa at advanced levels.
Working in Film Production at the time, Veronika's dynamic job required long hours and little rest. Rolling out the mat and practicing yoga offered her space to move, recharge and refocus. Eventuallyher passion for yoga led to her first Teacher Training at Triyoga London in 2006 and she qualified in 2008. She has completed several other advanced Teacher Training Programmes since.
