I'm Olena Sawal, a Canadian and long-term UK resident. My interest in wellbeing and spirituality stretches back to childhood and it was in nature that I felt most at home. I began to experiment withmeditation in my late teens and went to my first yoga class at an Iyengar studio in Canada in 1993. It was a new experience and one that I hold in my memory to help me empathise with new students joining my classes.
I have been practising Iyengar Yoga for over 30 years and am a full-time teacher, taking classes for all abilities. I teach a wide range of people, men and women, of all ages. I was awarded anIntermediate level teaching certificate in 2006 and afterwards spent 3 years training to provide both individual/small group tuition and support in general classes to people with a range of physical or health conditions.
