Our yoga classes in Cheltenham and Tewkesbury have been running since 2006 and we like to think that those who attend see their yoga practice as an essential part of their weekly regime, an antidoteto the stresses of the working week and a little oasis of calm where they can take a little 'me time'.

I started yoga in 2003 with a rigorous Ashtanga practice, loving the physical challenge of this style. I immediately appreciated the fun non-competitive self-exploration that yoga encourages, oftensurprising myself with what was possible. Although I still practice and love Ashtanga, I've broadened my yoga into other styles, now loving everything from an invigorating Dynamic Vinyasa Flow, calmer Hatha Yoga to restful Yin Yoga.

Hot yoga is a series of postures and breathing exercises performed in a heated room. Each posture is specifically designed to not only stretch the entire body, strengthen and tone the muscles of thebody, but also to massage the internal organs of the body. In addition to this the heart, lungs and circulatory system are required to work harder, giving you a cardio vascular workout. The warmth also promotes detoxification through sweating.
The postures are very precise and you will be guided through them by an experienced teacher, who is fully trained to make appropriate adjustments for different physiques and for people with specificproblems. The classes can be hard work, as the poses involve intense stretching; however you will leave the class feeling lighter and calmer. The immediate benefits of yoga are greater flexibility, strength, and better physical health.
