Yoga is a really great way to improve your well-being and reduce your stress levels at the same time as becoming more flexible and increasing your strength and stamina. Yoga can be practised byeveryone, of any age and of any ability or fitness. People often think that they need to be flexible to be able to practice yoga but that's not true. You do not have to be flexible to come to a yoga class. In fact, quite the reverse. You become more flexible through your yoga practice.
Previously an actor & singer, I had developed what I considered to be a strong physical awareness through my training and professional work. In addition to relaxation and breathing techniques, I hadbeen practising yoga on and off for a few years. I was fitness training 5 times a week.

Hi, my name is Louise Power. I was born in York but have lived in Sheffield for most of my life (apart from a few adventures abroad). I have two wonderful children who keep me young and active. Idanced from a young age doing ballet, modern and tap - up to and including teaching exams at Bailey Cox Dance Academy (formerly Cheriene Bailey School of Dance). Life took over and I became a nurse. I worked throughout the Sheffield Hospitals but settled at the Royal Hallamshire.
I tried my first hot yoga class in late 2010 and my body felt better in everything, sitting, running, cycling. I felt calmer and more focused AND I was starting to feel comfortable looking at myselfin the mirror. Helping me to manage my eating disorder is still the most important thing I have received from my yoga practice. I discovered Strala more recently, an om-free, physical movement practice, and am the first guide in Yorkshire delivering this laid-back, fun, energetic class.
Please feel free to contact me, Fleck, at any time if you have any questions or if you would like more information. Yoga from your armchair. When I tracked down Mrs P and Stuart Robertson last weekthey were embarking on a one-to-one mindfulness class. Mrs P recently suffered a fall and that, coupled with her hi.
I have been a student of yoga since 1988. While studying British Wheel and Iyengar yoga, I was first introduced to Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga in 1994 during a visit to the Practice Place in Crete (now YogaPlus) run by Radha and the late Derek Ireland. Since then, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga has become my main practice and passion. In 2009 I completed a 200 hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training with Michael Gannon and Brian Cooper.
Hot Yoga Sheffield is a hot yoga studio located in Crookesmoor on Commonside in Sheffield. Close to the universities, the hospitals and the city centre. Well, the heat is great because you warm upquickly, this relaxes your muscles so you can move deeper into postures and become more flexible. But even so, we won't ask you to put your legs behind your head. The heat also forces you to focus on the present moment ('Wow, it's really hot in here!').

Dan was first introduced to yoga in 2001 at a local gym. Practising once a week (on and off) for a couple of years developed into a growing interest in yoga. Progress was slow and sporadic at firstbut the desire to learn more and receive greater benefits resulted in Dan seeking out more knowledgeable teachers. In 2004 Dan signed up for a beginners course in ashtanga yoga at Union Yoga in Edinburgh; Dan felt that he had finally found a practice that suited him both mentally and physically.
