Offering yoga therapy to children and young people with special needs is at the heart of what we do. When you pay for a class, your fee is a donation that helps us ensure that no child is ever turnedaway due to their financial situation. We believe in healthy bodies and happy minds, and practice yoga to realise this balance. We are here to share this, and aim to create vitality and meaning in the lives of people who come to practice yoga at Kush.
I love to nurture people and to help them fulfil their potential. I believe that when you are stressed everything can seem impossible and by a shift in attitude and habits we can release that stressand achieve our hearts desires. I believe that this is actually a lot simpler than we are often led to believe. But I also know that it can be very beneficial to have some help along the way.
Introduced to Yoga by my Mother at a young age, I soon developed a love of Yoga that has continued throughout my life. After having my two son's, I was lucky enough to be able to train for my TeachingDiploma with the British Wheel of Yoga and achieved this in January 2007.

My focus is on the psychological as well as the physical effects of Yoga, using this therapeutically within Yoga classes or on a one to one basis.
I was first introduced to Yoga by Rhada Ireland during a holiday on the Greek island of Skyros, in 1991, where I began learning the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga. I continue to study regularly withexperienced teachers. I studied at Dartington College of Arts and gained a BA(hons) degree in Visual Performance in 1999.
I have been practising yoga for over ten years. I'm also a qualified Physics teacher, and have taught for over 22 years, mainly in Torbay. I originally started practising yoga because of it's stressrelieving and relaxation benefits, and for the physical benefits of greater flexibility. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to train to be a qualified yoga teacher. I offer one to one or small group tuition in client's homes or my own in Torquay, as well as group classes.
Based in Teignmouth, I am a British Wheel of Yoga qualified teacher with six years teaching experience. I have also studied Buddhist Meditation for one year with Maarten Vermaase. My classes follow atraditional style of Hatha and Raja Yoga which focus on the physical postures for flexibility and strength but also the spiritual and philosophical foundations of yoga.
