About the Business

Based in Teignmouth, I am a British Wheel of Yoga qualified teacher with six years teaching experience. I have also studied Buddhist Meditation for one year with Maarten Vermaase. My classes follow a traditional style of Hatha and Raja Yoga which focus on the physical postures for flexibility and strength but also the spiritual and philosophical foundations of yoga. I use a variety of breathing practices which will encourage you to breathe more effectively, but at the same time will help with your concentration and give you a sense of relaxation. My sessions have a strong focus on learning meditation or concentration practices which can help you to focus and to maintain a sense of calm in everyday life.

Yoga is an ancient Indian practice which involves the union of the body and the mind. On a physical level the yoga postures, which include stretching and toning of muscles, will help to improve your strength and flexibility.
