Having recently moved from Birmingham where I ran my own regular classes, I now do the same here in Manchester. I also teach a number of students on a one to one basis as well as taking on studiocover. Over the years I have appeared in numerous theatre, film, radio and television productions.

I have practiced Hatha Yoga since 2005 and completed the British Wheel of Yoga Teachers Diploma Course. I have been teaching since 2011 and qualified in 2012. My name is Rachel Cook and I am a qualified adult and children's yoga teacher. After my second child was born in 2006 I knew I did not want to return to my corporate career and decided to fulfill my10 year long dream of training as a yoga teacher. My passion for yoga began over a decade ago whilst backpacking across India. Since then, yoga has become part of my everyday life. I completed the Yoga Alliance 200 hour teaching diploma in July 2008, a course taught by Brian Cooper.

Hatha Yoga: Hatha means the physical aspect to yoga, so any type of yoga class where postures are taught can be said to be Hatha yoga. However, it has come to be associated with a more gentle type ofyoga that is appropriate to people of all ages and abilities.

When I discovered Dru yoga I instantly loved the way I could feel calm, centred and energised just through practicing some simple moves, and the pre conceptions I previously held about yoga werequickly forgotten. Shortly afterwards I enrolled on the teacher training course, initially so I could learn all the postures and sequences to perform at home.
