Rose-Marie was involved with dance, choreography, and textile design for several years in Sweden and Europe before moving to England and was also the proprietor of two dance studios in Sweden in the 1980s.

My name is Guy, I'm 48 years old and have lived in Tonbridge for the past seven years with my wife and 13 year old daughter. I have had a successful career in The City of London spanning 31 years.
Really enjoyed focusing on a different aspect each week such as opening up the joints, holding postures for longer, balance and so on. Discovered some new postures as well some of which I can do whilewatching TV.! I appreciate this was a mixed ability group to get things started so will look forward to continuing with a smaller, more focused group and being pushed harder.
Jo has had a successful career, of over 22 years, in a commercial environment. At this time she started practicing yoga to help keep her positive, fit and healthy in a stressful, client basedenvironment. It worked. She was always complemented on her positive approach and did not need to take time off sick. Luck maybe, but Jo put this down to practicing Yoga. In 2006 Jo decided to follow her heart and concentrate on teaching Yoga and Well-being on a full-time basis.
Highfield House studio was built in 2005 specifically as a yoga studio it features state of the art lighting, underfloor heating for comfort and multi-media system. It is built in the secluded groundsof Highfield House surrounded by gardens whilst being easily accessible from Canterbury and surrounding areas.
Having practiced and felt at home in yoga the whole of my adult life, I began training in 2008 in Kent with Simon Low's Yoga Academy. This classical Hatha yoga training was in the tradition ofDesikachar. I chose the Yoga Academy because I knew Simon was constantly learning from the great yoga teachers of our history and the present day. Since the course, I have returned to Simon for further study and specialist trainings for example in yin yoga.

My name is Celeste Cronin Thomas. I have been a student of yoga since the 1980s and teach in the tradition of Professor T Krishnamacharya. I am a yoga therapist registered with the Complementary andNatural Healthcare Council: I hold a British Wheel of Yoga Teaching Diploma and I am a certified Vedic Chant teacher. I believe that yoga is the most effective way to affect change in our lives and that it is open to everyone. My yoga lessons are my special 'me' time.
All the classes are taught by me, Brigid Godwin. Yoga has been a huge part of my life since I took my first Ashtanga Vinyasa lesson 19 years ago. I simply loved it but had no idea at the time how lifechanging it was going to be for me, or that I would end up as a teacher.
Out of the desire to share the rich, ancient and transformative teachings of yoga with others and to pass on what I have learned from my teachers so far, the idea to build a yoga studio was born. Mymission is to create a space and a community, a sangha, for like minded people to come together, to share, support each other and grow together. We are proud to introduce it to you. It is kept warm and cosy with underfloor heating.

The postures are simple, progressive and challenging all at the same time with the emphasis on helping eachperson to become focused, strong and fit. My aim has always been to teach yoga in a modernised way that is non pretentious and easy to follow.
Yoga has been a part of my life for many years now. I have experienced a profound change in the way my body feels and moves during that time. I have also experienced a considerable change in my way ofthinking. The practice of Yoga has certainly helped me to improve and understand the integration of mind and body and become more aware of my natural breathing.
Folkestone Yoga now offers a range of fitness classes - including Clubbercise and Zumba - and, of course, yoga! All yoga classes are taught by me, Emma Slade, and take place in my private studio in Clare Road, Whitstable. Classes are kept small to allow a high degree of individual attention and to give studentsa supportive and relaxing environment within which to practice. Classes are open to all those interested in yoga whether as a novice or an experienced practitioner.
