General, Pregnancy, Children's, Teenager's and Private yoga classes. The classes are small (maximum of 10 people) and suitable for beginners upwards. Students are given individual attention from warmand friendly teachers with over 25 years' experience of studying and practising yoga. The studio, which is in the heart of Hampstead, opens directly on to a delightful garden and is bright and airy with a beautiful wooden floor. All necessary equipment is provided and there are full changing facilities.
BWY in Hampstead. Sejel is a British Wheel of Yoga teacher whose intention is to bring students closer to the essence of yoga to enable healing and rejuvenation. Sejel's teaching owes much to theprevious generations of yogis in her family that have shown so much dedication as well as to her students.
Our classes are graded according to level of experience but are otherwise open to everyone. Exceptions are the therapy, children and teenage classes. The Iyengar Yoga Studio is an Affiliated Centre ofthe Iyengar Yoga Association UK and every teacher is a fully certified Association member.
She enjoys teaching at number of Health Clubs in North London, where she often has classes of about 20 students. Elaine started to really appreciate yoga when she had arthritis in the hip and wasunable to walk without crutches in her early 20's and had to learn to slowly increase the strength and mobility back into her hip.

Susan is a qualified Yoga teacher and has been teaching Yoga for over 25 years, mainly in South West London and more recently also in South Sinai, Egypt & Italy. She welcomes both beginners and thosemore experienced in Yoga asana practice to her classes. I am trained in both Iyengar and Karuna Yoga. My classes consist of a variety of excercises that build up to the practice of the classical Yoga asanas. I encourage and support precise alignment work in the postures, in order to ensure safety.
The Notting Hill Yoga studio is a beautiful and spacious place to learn yoga; cool, light and airy in the summer; and cosy and warm with a fire and blankets in the winter. We have all the equipmentyou need - mats, blocks, bolsters, blankets, and yoga chairs. With an upper limit of ten students, the teacher can remain attentive to everyone throughout the class. Regulars (that's almost everybody) enjoy the benefit of having their progress carefully monitored and crafted over time.
Yoga practice, when there is the intention to go deeper into our heart, will awaken the trust that the wisdom and compassion we need is already there, within us. Yoga is a process to becoming moreaware of our inner Self, to bring our being into a state of oneness and wholeness, bringing body, mind and spirit in the same time and place. It hightens our awareness, awakening our inner potential. The practices of yoga allow us to come to this place of wholeness, our true self.
I first started practising yoga as a form of exercise. I quickly found, however, that there was so much more to it than just the physical benefits. My whole perspective on life shifted, my principlesdeveloped and my spirituality formed. As I became more interested in the philosophy of yoga and Buddhism I began to understand yoga 'exercises' as being far more than a just a form of fitness.
