I first started yoga a decade ago with the intention of increasing my flexibility. After a few classes I was struck by how much that hour in the studio shifted my energy and made me feel freer and revitalized - I was experiencing so much more than just the physical postures. Over the years my practice deepened as I delved into studying the postures, breathing and meditation that all work together to still my mind and give me that sense of freedom I first experienced many years ago.
I practiced yoga throughout pregnancy and birth and found it to be the most invaluable tool to support me in early motherhood. As a busy mum with a young family I have learned that yoga is not just something that happens on the mat but a practice that we can access in any moment in any day, totally transforming our experiences and our quality of life. I wholeheartedly believe that if you can breathe you can do yoga, no special requirements necessary!
